From your bill
to a clear decision.

PowerLens compares electricity plans using your household’s data. No retailer commissions, sales calls or sponsored rankings.

1. Start with a bill

Upload a recent PDF or photos of every page. We read your rates, usage and billing period. Add more bills to cover more of your year.

We don’t store the original file. Our bill-reading processor, Anthropic, may retain its copy for up to around 30 days. We keep the extracted information for your report. How your data is handled.

2. Check the details

Confirm or correct the numbers we read, and tell us about your solar, battery and plan eligibility. Anything unclear is flagged before the comparison.

3. Get your answer

Stay: no worthwhile switch was identified among the plans we could price. Your full report is free.

Switch: see the verdict and available savings range first. Get the named recommendation and comparison in a report emailed to you, or include it with PowerLens Watch.

Need more information: we explain what prevents a reliable recommendation and what to do next.

See how the numbers fit together

Your report separates usage charges, daily supply costs and solar export credits. It explains the period used, annual estimates, GST, conditions and plans we couldn’t fairly compare. The same method is used for each eligible plan.

More data, a fuller picture

A bill can price your current plan and flat-rate alternatives. It cannot reliably tell us how to move your usage into another plan’s time windows.

Add your distributor’s meter data file (NEM12), free, to compare supported time-dependent plans and see your import and export patterns. We match the meter to your bill before using it. Find your meter data.

Grid readings don’t measure total solar generation or battery performance. Wholesale pricing and unsupported conditions are identified separately, rather than treated as guaranteed savings.

Keep the decision up to date

Optional PowerLens Watch re-checks the market monthly using your saved usage and emails you when the answer changes. Current-plan rate checks depend on a confirmed market match.

Add a new bill after you change plans or something big changes at home. Your report always says which bills it was priced on.
